Celades: "We aren't happy, because we didn't win at home"
Valencia CF coach Albert Celades gave a review of the 1-1 draw against Sevilla in his post-match press conference, and emphasised that his team were not satisfied with just a single point from the Matchday 11 game.
Celades said that "We have to be better. I would like us to play much better, create more chances and score more goals, but we need to bear in mind that we had a good team up against us, and I feel that we had good moments of play."
The objective
"We aren't happy, because we didn't win at home. It doesn't matter that we played against a very good side, with very good players and a great coach, we aren't happy. It's true that there were a lot of positive things, and I think that we had a very good first half, with that late goal that hurt us. In the second half there was a spell in which we struggled, but despite the situation the team reacted very well. I thank the players for their efforts."
A positive attitude
"The attitude from the players is very good. We look at data from the players and there is no complaint in that regard. I don't think that our problem is a lack of attitude in defence. The strange thing is that a side like Sevilla only had one chance. We tried to defend higher up. We would like to be a more decisive side when we go forward. That was the idea against Sevilla."
Thanking the fans
"I've always said that the fans are very important, and we ask them to help us to play, win and compete. That support is very much appreciated by the players."
The response from less frequently used players
"Manu Vallejo and Rubén Sobrino are training very well every day at Paterna, and we are delighted with the attitude that they have to help us."
The future
"The objective is to get into the Champions League at the end of the season. I focus on short term objectives, which is the most important thing."
